Jul 29, 2010 - @jesusisbling by contrast, one of the sales reps I hired and trained got ONE customer by LYING to them, had his wife go get a new car, ordered a 52k truck and no sooner was the ink dry on the contract and his customer cancelled and he got a charge back. Contrary to what people want to believe, sales is a great career and it takes integrity, hard work, and guts to be willing to take a chance on your own ability. & I forgot, govt sells stamps but they're in the red on that too.

They try to "sell you on" this tax or that tax being needed but that's not sales, that's convincing you that when they TAKE your money it's for your own benefit 'cause they're GOING to take it anyway. I'm in the highest tax bracket and have been since I was in my 20s. I pay my taxes & buy my own insurance. NO "deductions" here. I just bought another house well under what I can afford and my cars are owned.

Leads are free (other than time to develop them) and as long as the person wants to work and is honest and has the business owner's best interest at heart, he/she will make a GREAT living. First of all, the govt extending unemployment doesn't just HELP the unemployed, it hurts the business owner that had to get rid of them in the first place. Private employers pay a tax to cover the benefits. Eventually, cumulative unnecessary unemployment claim charges will push the organization's tax rate up into the next higher tax bracket. This is why companies FIGHT unemployment and why extending it hurts businesses!

You will never lose a commission paying job thru no fault of your own. want to tell me people aren't buying anything? wrong. 20% of the country is unemployed. 80% are gainfully employed and doing just fine. But again, not just for the love of the job... has to be out of neccesity. When I was a kid I had a huge allowence but got none of it unless I had a job. I got no reward unless I worked. Losing a job is one thing, being on unemployment for YEARS is another. There ARE jobs out there.
